Gamma 1.0.0 Release


Hello everyone. It has been a while.

For those who are new and do not know me, my name is FoeFear. I am a former world creator, and artist to the ShellCore Command Remastered project. I was a notable (but not the greatest) figure to the community who had assisted in the game's development as well as other projects. I know some people would want answers as to why I had "disappeared." Unfortunately, I do not have the time to explain myself.

While being away from the community, I've decided to make a release for my ShellCore Command Remastered mod called Beyond Our Worlds. I have been working on it since Beta 2.1.0 whenever I had the time. It may look finished, but I will be planning on developing it more later in the future as it is more of a personal project. 

Before you read the changelog, I did not record all the information because I do not remember all of them. If there is a link to something in the changelog, you can find the original source and its author.

Changelog

Additions:

  • Added extra statistics onto battle results.
  • Added minutes counter onto battle results.
  • Added cannon hit sfx.
  • Added hexagon and circle background particles.
  • Added tiers 4 to 10 sprites.
  • Added new nodes to the canvas editor.
  • Added a new jump gate asset.
  • Added new abilities such as Blink, Slash, and Reveal.
  • Added rain and snow particle systems.
  • Added original ep 2/skirmish special main menu music.

Bugfixes and Revisions:

  • Increased power from 20 to 25.
  • Increased missile turret cost from 150 to 200.
  • Increased flak cooldown from 1 to 2 seconds.
  • Revised explosions, bullet hits, misses, and any other sfx. 
  • Revised some music ids.
  • Revised most secondary ids.
  • Revised most vending sprite ids.
  • Revised some world creator item ids.
  • Revised some entity shell and core ids.
  • Revised the window box sprites.
  • Revised shiny particles.
  • Revised most ability button sprites.
  • Revised the credit list found inn the main menu.
  • Revised node classes, variable declarations, and other information related to it (this also includes some bugs).
  • Revised node locations.
  • Renamed existing jump gate to spawner.
  • Rebranded speeder missile to heavy missile.
  • Rebranded cobwebs to polygons.
  • Fixed ability bar button hitboxes.
  • Fixed a rendering issue in the grid sprites for the ship builder, status menu, and canvas editor.
  • Fixed ion's shooter rotation to face north by default.

Removals:

  • Disabled multiplayer (this will be removed entirely later on).
  • Disabled social buttons on main menu.
  • Removed most of Mr. Spastic's music from his Claps and Leads album (currently indeterminate).
  • Removed timeline and test variable nodes.
  • Removed most unused assets.
  • Removed the spawn list in the spawn entity node (this is temporary).
  • Removed the ship builder resize window button.
